• Initial application and a renewal application for a Professional Teaching Certificate, requires (6) semester credits in each certification area from an accredited college or university, as well as other requirements on your Professional Certification Action Plan. (1) credit is equivalent to (1) semester hour.
• Many districts accept Professional Development Hours for salary advancement. Be sure to select the appropriate documentation, either certificate of completion or an official university transcript, to meet your academic goal.
