Artificial Intelligence is here, and its influences on all aspects of life are being considered and anticipated. In this course, participants will learn what Artificial Intelligence is and how to anticipate and respond to the many ways it will influence teaching and learning. Participants will conduct research, analyze informational resources and different perspectives, and debate the pros and cons of AI on teaching and learning. Course participants will then determine how they can model responsible and effective ways to use AI for their students and how they can teach students to use AI to build skills and increase learning outcomes. Course participants will also design lessons and activities that teach students the consequences of using AI irresponsibly, and they will learn how to recognize AI work that students submit as their own. Lastly, course participants will share their newfound knowledge on this course with their school and local community to help others learn more about AI and its effects on teaching and learning.

This course is approved for NYC P/ A+ Credit: Register with the ASPDP before the start date of the course with the corresponding matching dates.
