In today’s classroom it is essential to create lessons and activities centered around our diverse learners. In order to do this, educators need to teach them life skills which they can use today and in their future. Working with others is a skill that every student needs to practice. Too many times teachers avoid grouping students as this scenario could become chaotic. However, working as part of a team is a necessary skill which students will certainly require at every step in their lives. This course will help you to become more familiar with all aspects of students working in groups. We will practice different strategies for organizing groups, try different types of collaborative learning and will gain confidence in our teaching while allowing students to work together. This course is appropriate for all areas of instruction including the Arts, ELA, Social Studies, Math, Science and Foreign Language, K -12.
