Student anxiety can significantly impact learning, behavior, academic performance, and overall well-being. This course is designed to help K–12 educators and school staff better understand how anxiety affects students and explore practical, evidence-based strategies to support their emotional, social, and academic success. Participants will learn to recognize signs of anxiety, understand the connection between anxiety and learning, distinguish anxiety-related behaviors from misbehavior, and develop strategies that promote emotional regulation, resilience, and a positive learning environment. Through professional readings, videos, reflections, and practical assignments, participants will explore classroom interventions, social-emotional learning (SEL), Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), and effective ways to collaborate with families and school personnel.
