• To renew a five-year certification, teachers are required to earn (6) semester hours. (3) hours can be professional development hours.
• Alaska Division of Teaching and Learning has a Renewal Credit Pre-Approval Request from for educators to submit for approval.
• Many districts accept Professional Development Hours for salary advancement. Be sure to select the appropriate documentation, either certificate of completion or an official university transcript, to meet your academic goal.
