Making inferences rests at the heart of academic and social comprehension. The class will discuss WHAT inferences are and how they are directly related to the Common Core Curriculum. The heart of this class will provide you with fun ideas and/or sample lessons utilizing different creative techniques including the use of technology, movies, pictures, books, websites and apps to help teach students to improve their ability to construct inferences and higher level thinking during listening tasks, reading tasks and in social situations. You will walk away from this course with hands on lessons that you can utilize immediately within your classroom setting. This class is suitable for Teachers k-8, Special Education k-12 Teachers, Reading Teachers, ELA Teachers, ELL Teachers and Speech Therapists.
