Students in this course will have an opportunity to research different articles and videos about reaching resistant learners in their educational setting. Student’s in the course will learn how to make gains with resistant students through technology, classroom management, and proactive strategies. The course will explore self reflection skills for both the student and teacher. Individuals that take the course will have the opportunity to build on resources they currently utilize to meet the emotional needs of students. Course participants will come out of the class with techniques and strategies to improve on their current skill base. At the end of the course, student’s will create a presentation they can teach to others in the field about reaching resistant learners. A final presentation is designated to reflect on strategies, takeaways, and interventions moving forward to work with resistant students.
