Have you ever observed or taught in a Reggio Inspired classroom environment? Do you feel there is value in inquiry-based teaching? Do you feel the purchased curriculum is meaningful for all students? Do you ever wonder if all students benefit from teacher led lessons and activities? Have you ever tried to act as a facilitator, rather than a leader in the classroom? Do you think the environment can be a third teacher? How does your classroom environment affect your students and yourself? In this course you will explore the great debate of curriculum, while also learning about how a Reggio Inspired Inquiry Based classroom runs successfully. Throughout the course you will reflect upon your current or future teaching approach. Are you a traditional teacher? An inquiry based teacher?
This course is relevant to all who work in schools and with children ages birth to 8th grade in both regular and special education settings. This course has been designed for school administrators, regular and special education teachers ,special area teachers (gym, art, music) school psychologists, school counselors, guidance counselors, social workers, speech and language therapists and pathologists and occupational and physical therapists.
