Learning a second language can be challenging for anyone! So, let’s learn new ways to teach vocabulary to our students so that they can appreciate and benefit from what learn. Drills and repetition are no longer enough to satisfy our student’s different learning needs. In this course you will learn and practice different techniques that will enable you to teach your students in a rigorous and engaging manner. You will be asked to turn in assignments which include lesson plans, power point presentations and reflective essays. If you are a teacher in grades K-12 in the areas of ESL or Foreign Language this course will help you to better understand and incorporate different ways to teach vocabulary in your classroom. NYS Standards, student’s assessments, goals and outcomes will be addressed.
