While questioning may seem like an easy task, it is perhaps the most powerful tool teachers possess in the classroom. Through this course you will learn effective ways to ask meaningful questions to motivate, build curiosity and engage your students. However, more importantly, you will also learn ways to teach students to ask their own questions in order to strengthen inquiry in the classroom. You will learn what the Question Formulation Technique (QFT) is, a technique developed by the Right Question Institute, and the rigorous process that teaches students to generate, produce and improve questions. The skill of asking questions is a life long learning skill that will allow our students to think critically beyond the classroom. This course is intended for all K-12 educators.
