Vermont

  • Level I license renewal requires (3) PD credits, or 45 hours, for each endorsement area.
    • At least (1) credit (15 hours) must be correlated to knowledge and performance area.
    • (2) credits need to be related to the Core Teaching & Leadership Standards, as described by Vermont Agency of Education.
  • To renew a seven-year Level II license, each endorsement needs (9) PD credits. (135 hours)
    • (3) credits must correlate to knowledge and performance area of the endorsement.
    • (6) credits must correlate to the Core Teaching & Leadership Standards.
  • To renew a five-year Level II license, each endorsement needs (6) PD credits. (90 hours)
    • (2) credits must correlate to knowledge and performance area of the endorsement.
    • (4) credits must correlate to the Core Teaching & Leadership Standards.
  • Many districts accept Professional Development Hours for salary advancement. Be sure to select the appropriate documentation, either certificate of completion or an official university transcript, to meet your academic goal.
