Learn how to warm up your k-12 classrooms by the use of ice breakers to facilitate a positive self- image and team building among your students. Various types of ice breakers will be introduced throughout the course. Teachers will have the opportunity to choose a wide variety of activities that would be practical to your classroom setting. Teachers will have an opportunity to understand why ice breakers are so important to use in the classroom and to student development. Teachers will have learned that icebreaker activities, games, and lesson planning will increase student involvement and confidence in the classroom. Teachers will learn how to integrate these activities into their everyday lesson plans to increase student achievement in all areas of instruction including the Arts, ELA, LOTE, Math, Science, Social Studies and Character Education in the K-12 classroom. NYS learning standards will be addressed during the course.​
