Financial literacy instruction can provide students with the habits and build a foundation of knowledge they will need to be economically independent and successful in life. In this course, you will research ways to build a financial literacy program for your classroom or school that teaches students financial literacy concepts alongside ELA, Math, communication, and career and life skills. You will explore informational articles and videos, online platforms and apps, local and community resources, and strategies used by other educators and professionals to find tools and ideas that will work for you and your students. During this course, you will design resources; conduct research; create lessons and activities; assess the effectiveness of your lessons; prepare informational letters and videos for students and their families; and reflect and share what you learn with others in your online, school, and local communities. Upon completion of the course, you will have a wealth of knowledge, lessons, resources, and strategies that you can use to create a successful financial literacy program for your students and their families.
