Research has shown that people respond more to visually appealing stimuli. In this course, you will learn how to use design tools to maximize learning outcomes; engage students more in learning; inspire creativity; enhance communication with students and families; teach organizational skills; and more. Participants will research and test various design tools independently and, in the classroom, as they work to find the right design tools to incorporate into their program. As they work through the sessions, participants will learn more about how design elements can help students with comprehension, organization, memory, creativity, mood, and engagement with content and their teachers. Upon completion of this course, participants will have a solid understanding of how to use design tools to maximize their effectiveness as educators and increase student learning outcomes and engagement.
