This course is designed specifically for K–12 educators who want to better understand how social media, the internet, and emerging technologies are shaping the lives of their students. The course explores both the challenges and opportunities presented by digital tools, offering teachers research-based strategies to support student well-being, digital literacy, and ethical technology use.
Participants will learn how to recognize warning signs of digital harm, stay informed about current legislation, and integrate tools like AI in safe and meaningful ways. With an emphasis on empowerment rather than restriction, educators will come away equipped to guide students toward healthier, more informed, and responsible digital engagement.
This course is appropriate for all educators K-12, ELA, Social Studies, Math, Science, ESL, Special Education, Art and Music, Physical Education, School Psychologists, Guidance Counselors, Social Workers Speech/Language teachers and therapists, OT & PT’s.
